Paula O’Connell designs environmentally conscious spaces for people to live in and also to fulfill their purpose.
With the current wave of interest in green living, choosing from the vast array of products and services available can be confusing and difficult. Using all the tools of her training and “real world” expertise in interior design, Paula also incorporates intuition and her connection to the natural world to create indoor and outdoor environments which are beautiful, healthy and uplifting for her clients.
Paula, an Allied Member of ASID, has worked in “conventional” interior design for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Science degree from William Woods University and honed her skills working with a prestigious North Shore design firm. Paula became personally interested in a more conscious and holistic way to work with living spaces and pursued higher teachings in Feng Shui and ecological practices for body, mind and spirit.
From Paula’s desire to educate the public about toxic components and practices in their homes which adversely affect their health and are harmful to the Earth, Environmentally Sustainable Designs was born. Paula’s goal is to use products and techniques which are Earth-friendly, non-toxic and are appropriate in many diverse applications.
As sole owner and the creative force behind Environmentally Sustainable Designs, Paula connects with her clients to create the space for them to bring beauty, wholeness and healing into their lives. Paula listens deeply to what her clients are looking for in their homes, understanding that each space is very personal and unique.
