Seth Herr

Communications Coordinator

Seth started working with UHC as the Communications Coordinator in the Summer of 2011. He grew up in Lancaster, a small city in Pennsylvania known for its association with the quaint religious farming community-the Amish. While he doesn’t shun electricity or rubber, he has developed a love for fresh local produce.

Seth has a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from Earlham College, where he studied the effects of globalization on the environment in Mexico, and how people organize and adapt to the modern world’s rapid changes. He studied and learned from both rural farming communities and urban greening programs, gaining a unique perspective on the global efforts to learn from old techniques in farming and adapt them to modern systems.

He loves sustainable transportation, especially bicycles, and currently works as a bike mechanic.
