Urban Habitat Chicago is currently redesigning the future for Chicagoans.

Eventually your home will grow food, purify its water and provide inhabitants with all the energy that they need. UHC is designing such a shelter and the design will be presented on Earth Day 2006. The long term goal is to build such a house in Chicago to educate the public on the future of such homes and further the necessary progress of supporting industries. This type of housing can ensure the continuation of our species on this planet in a life-affirming way.
