Lecture summary

Dear friends,

Don’t miss this! Please join us for a retrospective look on our first five years as Urban Habitat Chicago. Learn how and why we do what we do.

If there’s a will, there’s a way! (Or, how the work of UHC demonstrates the viability of sustainable concepts and practices in the urban environment.)

The presentation will cover the the development of our projects and the lessons learned along the way - from seed balls and mud bricks to green roofs, concrete pathways and youth leadership (and Jerususalem artichokes).

We hope this presentation will inspire viewers to support our sustainability projects through volunteerism and internships, memberships and donations so that future projects can be bigger, better, and reach more people. But we also believe these examples of DIY sustainability can inspire you to take the future of this planet into your own hands, with or without us!

Presented by UHC co-founder Anna Glenn - landscape designer, cycling advocate, and vermicomposter extraordinaire…
