Orozco Academy September 2025
On Sunday, 9/14, a group of UHC volunteers brought four repurposed vegetable beds, along with media to fill them and seeds to plant them with, to Orozco Academy elementary school's vegetable garden. The vegetable garden, along with several native pollinator gardens and demonstration nets filled with butterfly chrysalides, are run by Women for Green Spaces, a non-profit dedicated to bringing more plants for people and pollinators to Pilsen and surrounding areas. The beds will be planted with UHC donated seed by young students from the school in a class led by Women for Green Spaces.
